Carl Waldekranz, 29, grew up in Stockholm and started his first company at 18. After high school Carl Waldekranz and a friend, Kaj Drobin, started a boutique design agency niched at helping technology gap the chasm between early adopters and mainstream. The young team soon acquired clients such as Spotify and Nokia and three years after incubation the agency was acquired by, at the time, Sweden’s biggest brand development agency Identity Works.

Carl is currently the co-founder and CEO of Tictail - a global community that allows you to discover the world’s greatest independent brands. Tictail is a free-to-use DIY e-commerce platform that enables independent brands to set up an online store in minutes, and a destination for discerning shoppers looking for their new favorite brands. Tictail’s shoppable marketplace showcases independent brands from around the world. The first store on the platform was Carl's mothers, The platform has since scaled, and three years after launch it’s the home to 85,000 brands from all over the world.
