We are stoked, thrilled and everything in between to present the first 2 speakers of Startup Extreme Conference!
First out is Angela Lee, investor, educator & entrepreneur from NY. As Assistant Dean at Columbia Business School, Angela is a highly rated professor of strategy, leadership and entrepreneurship. She is also the founder of 37 Angels, an angel network that invests in early stage startups and activates new female angels through a month long investing bootcamp.
Her tip for any angel-in-training:
“Look at at least 50 deals before you invest in one. You can invest in one of the first 50 you see – just make sure you’ve looked at 49 others before you write that first check!”
Angela is a sought-after expert on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and Fox Business and is regularly featured in media outlets such as Forbes, Huffington Post, and Fast Company. Entrepreneur Magazine recognized Angela as one of Six Innovative Women to Watch in 2015.
Angela will be giving her lecture on Portfolio diversification in the Startup Investing-track.
Looking to scale to the US?
Then New York-based Swede Carl Waldekranz is the guy to talk to.
The co-founder and CEO of Tictail - a mobile-first, DIY e-commerce platform, allowing indie boutiques to set up online stores easily and quickly, has raised over $32.5 million for Tictail, earning him the title one of 30 under 30 2016 in the prestigous Forbes-magazine.
Since the launch 3 years ago Tictail has become the home to 100K brands from all over the world, and they even launched their first physical store in NY.
So young, achieved so much and this is not even his first venture! His entrepreneursial career started straight out of high school. Together with a friend he started a boutique design agency which acquired clients such as Spotify and Nokia. 3 years after the start the agency was acquired by, at the time, Sweden’s biggest brand development agency Identity Works.
That´s just the two first speakers. Excited to meet them? We certainly are!
