We are excited to announce that Crown Prince Haakon of Norway will open Startup Extreme June 15.

Themed "Opportunities of the Entrepreneurial Revolution" this year's conference focus on the opportunities the new entrepreneurial revolution can create for Norway. The conference will address how established companies can innovate through closer cooperation with entrepreneurial businesses, and how Norwegian companies can scale and position themselves outside the Nordics.

We are very proud to have His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon open this conference, that addresses a topic that is highly relevant in Norway today. In a time of several changes in Norwegian industry, this is an acknowledgment of our work over several years to help entrepreneurs and promote entrepreneurial activities in Norway. This gives us motivation to continue the work, not least because the Crown Prince recognises the importance of entrepreneurs as a driving force in the restructuring in Norway, says Maja Adriaensen, CEO of Startup Norway.

2015 saw a clear increase in the involvement and activity associated with entrepreneurial creation in Norway, with more entrepreneurs than ever applying for grants from Innovation Norway, and great commitment from the Government's side, both financially and in increased access to offers for entrepreneurs.

Through Startup Extreme we wish to mobilise expertise and knowledge from experts on innovation and entrepreneurship, and to stimulate discussions on the themes of intrapreneurship, company investment and business scaling.

Keynote will be held by Marc Nager, Chief Community Officer at Tech Stars, while Anita Krohn Traaseth, CEO of Innovation Norway, will give the closing remarks.

Startup Extreme Conference is arranged by Startup Norway in cooperation with DNB and Innovation Norway.
