Why did you join as a volunteer?
I just moved to Norway and wanted to meet new people and was looking for different events and activities to help people. Applied for the toughest, several smaller events, became a part of the team at Creative Mornings, and to know a team member of Startup Norway. She then invited me to apply for being a volunteer at SX. I applied, had a meeting a loved it.

How was it volunteering at SX?
It was super inspiring and interesting. I learned a lot and met passionate people. I felt very welcomed and supported and felt that people trusted me. I even got the title Head of Investor Relations and got the right to invite international investors. It was so much fun to call and send emails to investors and invite them.

How has your journey in Startup Norway been from starting as a volunteer and up til now?
I have been following Startup Norway since I volunteered in 2016, and in 2021 I got an offer to join the team as an Investor Relations Manager. I love the company's values and the team of passionate do-ers with a big vision and creative minds.
Why did you join as a volunteer?
I got a hot tip from a friend who worked in the startup environment that it would be the perfect place for me to get inspired in new ways and enter the startup scene. I believe she was right.

Fun & crazy. In that order.

How has your journey in Startup Norway been from starting as a volunteer up til now?
The first impression of how many things simultaneously happening at Startup Extreme is at least a great indication of how it is throughout the rest of the year in Startup Norway. I've learned a lot on the journey, had many different roles, backed over 250 new investors entering the startup investment scene, and am currently facilitating the bi-monthly seed stage arena at Norway's largest investor network in addition to helping new private investors and fund managers emerge.
Why did you join as a volunteer?
Having an interest in entrepreneurship I found Startup Extreme to be the perfect arena to meet the energy of the Norwegian startup ecosystem — and frankly, it did seem like the world’s most awesome place to meet like-minded people — applying to be a volunteer seemed like a no-brainer!

How was it volunteering at SX?
It’s extremely fun, but also demanding. You’ll have to have the (extreme)founder mentality, as this event is off the rails!

How has your journey in Startup Norway been from starting as a volunteer up til now?
I met the whole team when I volunteered in 2018, and again in 2019. It was a great entry to both the ecosystem and Startup Norway.

Knowing the passion of the people behind the event, applying for a position was not a hard decision, and the passion is still felt in everything we do at Startup Norway. I’ve spent the last three years in various positions at Startup Norway, everything from being program manager of startup programs, to building new internal products & offerings.

Just like volunteering at Startup Extreme — your agility and grit are tested, but the results are always fun and incredible! got a hot tip from a friend who worked in the startup environment that it would be the perfect place for me to get inspired in new ways and enter the startup scene. I believe she was right.
Why did you join as a volunteer?
I joined as a volunteer because I wanted to get involved in, what I perceived to be a fun and refreshing environment. I wanted to expose myself to a new crowd that was outside my normal circle.

How was it volunteering at SX?
Volunteering at SX22 was a fun and challenging experience that I enjoyed a lot. I got to help in all the departments and work with interesting people and challenges. I created many good memories and got to build a network. Looking forward to being a part of SX23, creating an awesome atmosphere!

Why did you join as a volunteer?
I was working in the co-working environment and heard great things about Startup Extreme. We met up with two people from Startup Norway, who told us about the experience, the people, what it was, and all the great things that come with being a volunteer at such a big networking event.

How was it volunteering at SX?
Above all my expectations. It was a great way to meet new people and learn more: the volunteers, the attendees, and the employees at Startup Norway. We had the opportunity to join some of the activities, as well as late-night mingling. Being a volunteer includes easy tasks and not high-performance tasks. It is therefore easy to join any team if they need a hand - and I believe that was the core task, helping people and making Startup Extreme a great experience for all. I believe it's a great opportunity to meet international people, and people with different experiences.
